I hope we are all doing well. If you are connected with us online, I’m sure you’ve noticed we are now operating at much higher capacity than we’ve done in recent weeks. This is because of the amazing new members of staff I announced just last week. They’ve really hit the ground running, and our next big project is Black History Month, which is just around the corner.
Over Black history month, you’ll see a range of programming for us, please take a look and try to be a part of some of these exciting campaigns.
If you can make our event with Kelechi Okafor, Adwoa and Solomon of Adeche you’ll also get a chance to meet members of our team because this event will been held in our office!

Black History Month is around the corner! On the 15th of October 2026 Kelechi Okafor sits down with Adwoa and Solomon of Adeche Atelier at the Common Sense Studios for an evening on African spirituality and mythology, and what it means to take it seriously as an adult.
Expect a real conversation about cosmology and the gods our ancestors knew by name, about ancestral veneration and why the West struggles to distinguish it from worship, about what colonialism and the mission field actually did to African spiritual life, and about the harder question underneath all of it.
