Back on home soil, and still buzzing from last Thursday.
I said I was not going to pretend to be calm about our Black History Month event, and I was right. Hosting Kelechi Okafor, Adwoa and Solomon of Adeche Atelier in our own studio, in front of a room full of you, was one of those nights I will be holding onto for a long time. The conversation was everything I hoped it would be and more, and I want to say a proper thank you to every single person who came and made it what it was. More on that below.
The good news is that Black History Month is not over, and neither are we. This week I am heading out of the studio to give a talk of my own, and I am just as excited about that one.
Good rooms, great people, and plenty more to come. Let’s get into it.Have an amazing week

One thing. What launched, what's coming, what changed.
Last Thursday, over 40 of you joined us at the Common Sense Studios for an evening on African spirituality and mythology, and I’m still thinking about it.
Kelechi Okafor sat down with Adwoa and Solomon of Adeche Atelier, and the conversation went further than any of us expected. We talked about the stories, beliefs and traditions that shaped our ancestors, why so many of us grew up disconnected from them, and what it means to reclaim them today. The questions from the room were some of the best we’ve had, and plenty of you stayed long after we wrapped.
A huge thank you to Kelechi, Adwoa and Solomon for their honesty and generosity, to the team who made the night run so smoothly, and to everyone who came. Rooms like that are exactly why we built this space.
If you missed it, don’t worry. We’ll be sharing highlights on Instagram and TikTok over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out.
And this is only the beginning. More evenings like this are on the way.
A spotlight on one person from the network each week.
Three superstars in the building. Kelechi Okafor sat down with Adwoa and Solomon of Adeche Atelier at the Common Sense Studios for an unforgettable evening on African spirituality and mythology to kick of Black History Month.
What's happening this week
Mike is heading out of the studio this week to deliver a Black History Month talk at an external organisation. He’s been looking forward to this one for a while and can’t wait to share some of the stories and lessons that matter most to him. Expect a few behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram and TikTok, so keep an eye out.
Opportunities and one specific ask, in that order.
With a new Substack and exciting new shows in the pipeline, we are still on the hunt for new writers and presenters to contribute to the network and help us continue our mission.
We are also on the lookout for new studio assistants. If you or anybody in your network are looking for flexible part-time work and want experience working within a media company and a content production studio, this is the opportunity for you! Spaces are filling up fast so please apply quickly.
Please email okiki@tcsnetwork.co.uk if you’re interested!
Keep your notifications on and your eyes peeled for more updates across the network.
Have an amazing end to the week,
