Last Friday we filled the studio to launch Issue 005 of The Detail. Watching people meet the creators they’ve been following for years, face to face, is exactly why we do these nights. Thank you to everyone who came, and to Papz for trusting us with his list.
This week we’re trying something new, and I can’t wait for you to see it. And the team is growing, with one of our newest members introducing himself further down.
Good rooms, new voices, and plenty more to come.
Have an amazing week

One thing. What launched, what's coming, what changed.
Issue 005 of The Detail is out, with Papz as our guest editor. If you were with us on Friday, thank you. If you weren’t, the whole issue is now online.
It’s about the creators shaping British culture right now: Papz’s 30 Must-Watch list, Zayz on going from selling clothes online to a career he never planned, and Tomi Okeowo on the creator pay gap and why the usual excuses don’t hold up.
If something in it lands, share it with a creator you think deserves a spot next time.
A spotlight on one person from the network each week.
This week, the person in the room is me. I’m Tunji, and I’ve just joined Common Sense as Social and Creative Lead.
I’ve followed Common Sense since 2018, so being on this side of it feels a bit surreal. Before this I spent several years in tech at Capital One, and outside of work I’m a creative: I make music, edit video, design, and shoot the odd wedding.
From now on, I’m the one looking after our socials and this newsletter. If you’ve got an idea, a story we should be telling, or just want to say hello, email me at tunji@tcsnetwork.co.uk.
What's happening this week
This week we’re launching Soapbox, a new short interview format. One person, a camera, and room to say what they actually think.
We’re starting with Black Boy Joy: short conversations about what joy looks like for young Black men, in their own words.
Soapbox has its own home on Instagram, so follow along to catch them as they land.
Opportunities and one specific ask, in that order.
We’re on the lookout for a new studio assistant. If you or anyone in your network wants flexible, part-time work and experience inside a media company and a working content studio, email okiki@tcsnetwork.co.uk.
Keep your notifications on for more across the network. Have an amazing end to the week,
Tunji Adeoba
